In a bizarre partnership that breaks conventional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the official statement, "An unusual encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of prohibited rituals and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The plot features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden cult.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre tests and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Bonus Content

Players who finish the quest will receive an exclusive katana together with multiple objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Titan-inspired attire for Yasuke
• Mikasa costume for Naoe
• Unique arms
• Survey Corps mount

Newest Free Story Addition

This update also adds the game's latest complimentary story episode, titled "The Enigma." This playful adventure pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they swap characteristic skills: Naoe reveals a dramatic interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires non-fatal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Enigma" also features a fresh environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
